MacEwan University: The Coalition for Harm Reduction at MacEwan (CHARM for short) aims to enhance campus well-being through educational workshops on harm reduction. The goal is to address issues such as stigma reduction, harm reduction strategies, health-promoting behaviours, and service awareness. This project involves planning and implementing a series of workshops that will educate students on these topics, fostering a safer and more informed campus community. The workshops should be interactive, engaging, and tailored to the needs of the student population. By applying classroom knowledge in nursing, health sciences, psychology, or social work, learners will gain practical experience in educational program development and delivery. The project will also involve researching best practices in harm reduction education and evaluating the effectiveness of the workshops.

Deliverables

The project deliverables include a comprehensive plan for a series of harm reduction workshops, including detailed facilitation packages, an implementation calendar, and potentially developed online modules. Additionally, learners will create promotional materials to raise awareness about the workshops. A final report explaining the project goals, outcomes, and recommendations for future iterations will also be required. These deliverables demonstrate the learners' ability to apply theoretical knowledge to real-world educational initiatives.
