Wellness and Psychological Services is seeking 1-2 students to engage in a project that involves exploring the topic of eco-grief and the impact on the student population. This position involves conducting and synthesizing evidence-based research to create materials that teach students practical skills to manage their experiences of eco-grief.
This project entails, but is not limited to:
- Engaging in a literature review on eco-grief support groups to identify best practices
- Using existing research to develop a manual for an eco-grief peer-support group for university students
- Identifying exercises, topics and psychoeducational tools to support facilitation of an eco-grief support group
- Creating engaging content to stimulate interest from a university student audience
The selected candidates will be communicating directly with Helena Dayal for guidance, instruction, and support. This may occur via email, phone, videoconferencing, or in-person meetings. The secondary contact would be Sydney Bennell.
