Details

This project aims to design a series of comprehensive surveys targeting older adults aged 50+ and their caregivers in Alberta, focusing on healthcare funding, access, and awareness. The primary goal is to gather valuable insights into the current state of preventive, primary, acute, and chronic care funding, identifying gaps and areas for improvement. Additionally, the project will explore the urban/rural divide in healthcare accessibility, seeking to understand the disparities in service availability. Another key aspect is assessing the clarity and effectiveness of information provided by Alberta's government and Alberta Health Services, with the aim of suggesting enhancements and complementary resources from other organizations. Students will apply their healthcare knowledge to develop surveys that are both informative and actionable, contributing to CanAge's mission of improving healthcare and access for older adults.

Deliverables

The project deliverables include a set of well-structured surveys designed to capture data on healthcare funding, access, and awareness among older adults in Alberta. Students will provide a comprehensive report summarizing the survey findings, highlighting key insights and recommendations for improving healthcare services and information dissemination. Additionally, a presentation will be prepared to communicate the results and proposed enhancements to CanAge and other stakeholders.
