Streamlined Onboarding and Intranet Design for Nonprofits
This project aims to develop a new hire onboarding process and intranet template for two nonprofit organizations and one small boutique agency. The goal is to streamline the onboarding process using Google Sites, which is already integrated into the organizations' Google Workspace. Students will focus on creating efficient and user-friendly templates that cater to the specific needs of IT departments while ensuring ease of use for new hires. By customizing existing templates, students will apply their classroom knowledge to real-world scenarios, enhancing their understanding of process optimization and user experience design. The project encourages critical thinking about how to improve operational efficiencies and meet user needs effectively. Healthcare Accessibility and Awareness Survey Design for Older Adults in Alberta
This project aims to design a series of comprehensive surveys targeting older adults aged 50+ and their caregivers in Alberta, focusing on healthcare funding, access, and awareness. The primary goal is to gather valuable insights into the current state of preventive, primary, acute, and chronic care funding, identifying gaps and areas for improvement. Additionally, the project will explore the urban/rural divide in healthcare accessibility, seeking to understand the disparities in service availability. Another key aspect is assessing the clarity and effectiveness of information provided by Alberta's government and Alberta Health Services, with the aim of suggesting enhancements and complementary resources from other organizations. Students will apply their healthcare knowledge to develop surveys that are both informative and actionable, contributing to CanAge's mission of improving healthcare and access for older adults.
