Analyze the results and recommend which of these states have the most opportunity for MentorEase to sell mentoring software

LocalGoodz.com Marketing & Sales

Positions available: 4 LocalGoodz.com is an online marketplace for locally-made products. Starting with focus on Ontario-made products - see https://www.localgoodz.com This project has 3 possible aspects: 1 Vendor Invitations / Sales - contacting Ontario manufacturers (big, small or home businesses) to invite them to become vendors for free on LocalGoodz.com and post their locally-made products. We have a large list of contacts and need help to send emails, make phone calls and connect on social media with them. Vendors register at https://www.localgoodz.com/start-selling or fill the Quick Setup form and we create the accounts for them. For example, https://www.localgoodz.com/vendors/lipservice-beauty and https://www.localgoodz.com/vendors/zsolt-souce 2. Consumer Marketing - social media marketing to people who care about buying local and supporting the local economy. For example, we have 850 followers on Instagram so far at https://www.instagram.com/localgoodz. This can include research for Facebook and other groups of like-minded people, creating content and posting on them using the LocalGoodz social media accounts. 3. Public Relations (PR) - writing articles about LocalGoodz, researching potential media contacts and sending press releases. Possibly speaking with the media about the site. The site has been around for a few years as a side project and slowly added vendors and customers. We need some help to grow it over time.

Work experience

Director of Operations
Giant Step Inc. (product is MentorEase)
Toronto, Ontario, Canada
December 2003 - Current

Giant Step is a digital agency building websites, mobile apps, custom software and marketing campaigns (http://giantstep.ca).

MentorEase is a software-as-a-service (SAAS) platform built by Giant Step.

MentorEase is an affordable Mentoring Software solution that helps manage mentoring programs. It help Mentoring Program Managers by:
1. Automating the mentor-mentee matching process
2. Providing a structured process for the mentoring activities ( >> this is what we want to work with you on << )
3. Management tools and reports

We work with mentoring programs at various industry sectors:
* Higher Education - https://www.mentorease.com/higher-education
* Industry Associations - https://www.mentorease.com/industry-associations
* Corporate HR, Training & Education Initiatives - https://www.mentorease.com/corporate-hr-education-training
* Sales Mentoring - https://www.mentorease.com/sales-mentoring
* Startup Accelerators - https://www.mentorease.com/startup-accelerators
* Healthcare Peer Mentoring - https://www.mentorease.com/health-peer-support-mentoring

The goal of this project is to help define the best structured process for getting both mentor and mentee value from their mentoring program experience. We will answer questions like:
* How do we help participants quickly identify their own (+ their mentor's) personality type? Then provide related info
* What type of ice-breaker activities should we include in the system?
* What types of reminders are needed? What's essential or too much?
* Should we have a checklist and what should it include?
* What are the stages of mentoring? (related questions for mentors and mentees)

> We would like students to prepare a survey for mentoring program managers and we will contact them for responses.

The final deliverable would be a clear process for mentors and mentees to go through. It can be a set of steps with questions, self-assessments, ice-breakers, recommended activities, checklists and more. Students will study the research materials available online regarding various mentoring program structures to define the ultimate process.

Mentoring programs bring 2 strangers together and the questions is: How do we provide a mentoring structure that will ensure these strangers will help each other as much as possible and be very happy with the program?
